Ram Truck: Which Size Is Right for You?

RAM Trucks

Looking for a new truck in Mount Airy or Elkin?  What is the best truck for you? With all the different choices, small, mid-size, or full-size, how do you decide which truck is best for you?

At Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we love our RAM trucks. “Back in 2009, Dodge Ram separated so RAM could focus on perfecting trucks,” says Scott McCorkle, owner of Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Over the next several years, RAM trucks have soared.

The 2016 Ram lineup includes the RAM 1500RAM 2500, and RAM 3500.  Here is a little quiz in determining which truck is right for you:

How will you use the truck? Personal Use or Work?

If you are going to use this truck for personal use- driving around town and occasionally moving heavy stuff- then the RAM 1500 will probably meet all your needs and then some. If you need a work truck, you need to think about how much you will be hauling or loading.

What is the towing capacity?

If you are using your pickup truck as your primary work vehicle, you will need to understand your towing needs. The Ram 1500 has a max towing capacity is 10,650 lbs. The Ram 2500 has a max towing capacity of 17,510 lbs. And the Ram 3500 has a max towing capacity of 30,660 lbs.

What are you seating needs?

Do you need seating for the whole family or your whole work crew? Ram trucks come in Tradesman or Crew Cab. If your truck is going to be both your personal vehicle and your work truck, we recommend getting a crew cab.

What’s your budget?

This is an important question. You want to the most for your money. And the right truck for your needs. Our sales team at Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can help you find the right truck for you money.

Finding the right pickup can be challenging, but it’s also really fun. Come down to Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram any day of the week to test out our trucks. Each Ram is built tough with the latest technology to keep your truck comfortable.
