It’s no secret that Jeep owners love their vehicles. Their ride is a point of pride, not just a vehicle that gets you from point A to point B. Jeeps are a lifestyle choice and one that’s improved and empowered the lives of countless adventurous families.
The Jeep CJ (Civilian Jeep) was the first mass-produced four-door car, with some pointing to its 1941 beginning as the advent of the SUV age — one that’s continually grown with SUVs eclipsing Sedans in the past few years. It has a storied history and legacy, and Jeep remains a symbol of adventure and capability to this day.
Not surprisingly, the brand has many events each year to bring people together and celebrate the vehicle. Jeep weeks pop up all over the calendar throughout the year and usually entail a week-long party for Jeep fanatics.
Few dealerships know more about Jeep love than Mount Airy CDJRF. They’ve sold thousands of models to families, growing the brand and joining in on the excitement. So, we’re ready to inform you about the most exciting Jeep events in the United States during 2023, especially those local to North Carolina and Virginia!
A Long History of Jeep Festivals
Jeep is a brand that inspires one-of-a-kind loyalty among vehicle owners. And while many of the festivals we’ll tell you about are more recent events centered around the brand, Jeep owners have been coming together and celebrating the vehicle for decades.
The story begins back in 1953 when Jeep trailblazer, Mark A. Smith, worked to create and organize the first Jeep Jamboree. The weekend-long event spanned the Sierra Nevada and brought an array of outdoorsy, adventurous Jeep owners together. One year later, the Jeep manufacturer itself took notice, offered their support, and the rich history of celebrations began!
1st Annual Kernersville Jeep Jam
Starting off strong and only a short distance from Mount Airy, Kernersville will host its first Jeep Jam, The soon-to-be annual event is sure to be a cause for celebration. Jeep owners are encouraged to come and enjoy live music, fantastic food, auctions, and activities. Every facet of the event plans are centered around the Jeep brand, welcoming new and old Jeep owners alike.
Folks can attend the Jeep Jam by purchasing tickets for April 1st – 2nd. And with over 1,500 respondents already expressing interest, it’s safe to say it will be a thrill!
Jeeptastic Park 2023
Jeeptastic Park takes place March 18th – 19th and is located right outside of Lake Norman in the Town of Troutman. The event touts itself as the “Wildest 2-day Jeep Event” in the Carolinas. This will mark the second year for Jeeptastic Park, so it’s likely to bring in a collection of folks familiar and new to the experience.
Most notably, the Jeeptastic Park will be held in North Carolina’s largest privately owned zoo, Zootastic Park. The event will merge all the exotic animals and fun a zoo promises with activities that have become staples at Jeep events. Live music, food, Jeep rides, and more are slated to entertain any families that wants to participate!
WNC Jeep Fest
Mount Airy CDJRF is tucked into the foothills of Western North Carolina; we know well the adventure our mountains hold! WNC Jeep fest capitalizes on the allure of the state’s mountains with a Jeep Fest located in Maggie Valley.
The event promises to offer much of what the other two events do, but what sets the festival apart is the promise of guided drives throughout the surrounding countryside. Take your Jeep west and see why families across the state make the drive for WNC Jeep Fest!

OBX Jeep Invasion
Heading to the far East, we’ve got OBX Jeep Invasion, set to take place May 12th – 14th. OBX is held every summer at North Carolina’s Outer Banks, giving Carolina beach lovers a way to combine Jeeps and fun in the sun. Beach crawls, food vendors, live music, and more will span the two days of the event. All the action takes place near Kitty Hawk, where NC became first in flight!
Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival
We’ve talked at length about local, North Carolina-centered Jeep festivals. But it would be a mistake not to touch on some of the largest national Jeep festivals!
Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival occurs in Butler, Pennsylvania (as a tribute to the Jeep’s birthplace). The Festival began in 2011 and has since grown exponentially. The festival now holds the record for the largest Jeep parade and draws in over 30,000 spectators. You’ll be sure to find other Jeep fans looking to have a fun time and celebrate their brand — all in the town where Jeep started!
Why Jeep?
After reading about the Jeep festivals and understanding the lengths Jeep owners go to organize an event for themselves and fellow Jeep lovers, you might be asking yourself, “What makes Jeep so special?”
Few automotive brands, if any, have numerous festivals spanning the state and the country. But what is it about a Jeep that inspires this level of loyalty, adoration, and pride? While every Jeep owner’s reason for loving their vehicle is different, here are a few reasons the legendary SUVs are so beloved:
Customizability: Most Jeeps offer an unrivaled level of customizability, granting owners the freedom to alter their SUV’s appearance and performance capabilities to their unique tastes. Jeeps range from luxurious to rugged, allowing prospective buyers to pick whichever best fits their lifestyle. The rise of Jeep festivals can be attributed to this customization, with Jeep owners seeking to show off what sets their vehicle apart from the rest.
Performance: Nearly every Jeep comes off the lot prepared for off-roading. Likely a vestige of its days as a military vehicle, the brand holds pride in its ability to perform when (and where) other vehicles can’t. Jeeps can handle any climate and are a perfect fit for someone who wants an adaptable SUV.
American Made: Jeeps are American-made, which is enough for many people to buy one. Being made in America doesn’t only create pride in the vehicle, but it also means an investment that’s easier to maintain. Domestic-made cars are easier to work on and their parts are more widely available and affordable than their foreign-made counterparts. In other words, you can keep your Jeep on the road for less!
Value: Jeeps retain their value better than many of their SUV competitors. Any vehicle’s value depreciates the moment you drive it off the lot, but that drop is more noticeable with some brands than others. Jeeps retain their value and demand even after gaining some age; models like the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee shine in a crowded SUV market as excellent (and safe) investments.

With nearly 800 reviews — averaging 4.6 stars — our dealership’s quality and professionalism inspire the same level of loyalty Jeep does as a brand. We know Jeeps well, offering unrivaled sales and service experiences. Take this Google review from Amanda as an example:

This was my first experience with Mt Airy Jeep’s service dept. and it was excellent! They worked me in to repair a wheel speed sensor on short notice and they were very knowledgeable with upfront and accurate pricing for the repair. The service was exceptional – i have spent more time at other dealerships waiting on an oil change than what I spent on the repair, oil change, and tire rotation! This will definitely be my go to service dept. for my Jeep Wrangler going forward!
For those who’ve never owned a Jeep, Mount Airy CDJRF provides exceptional service to first-time buyers. Even folks who’ve never imagined owning a Jeep come away surprised, as demonstrated by Stacy’s review:

Had a great experience with Mt Airy Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat. Honestly me and my husband just rode through to look at the Wranglers. I have always wanted one, never thought I would get one. They happen to have a Mojito (green) one! We decided to drive it to let me see if I did like them. (Of course I did!) Over the next several days I worked with Art Morales and we got a deal worked out. I got a great deal on my new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport S. I love it. I don’t think it would have happened without Art! They have followed through with everything they said they would. Awesome group of people. If you need a vehicle go by and see them Asked for Art! He is awesome! Tell him I said HI and be sure to pick on Marty. 🙂
Don’t wait — buy a Jeep and have your own festival right in the lot of Mount Airy CDRJF. Anyone who purchases a Jeep has a lot to celebrate!
Before the new year emerged, 2023 was already a big model year for the Jeep Wagoneer. In its second year of production, the new-generation Wagoneer earned the highest honor from a leading 4×4 authority. Four Wheeler judges conducted a week of tests that included on- and off-road evaluations and track tests before awarding the 2023 SUV of the Year to the Wagoneer equipped with the Hurricane Twin Turbo I-6.
The Twin Turbo engine establishes a new standard for power and efficiency and distinguishes the Wagoneer from the rest of the large SUV segment — even more than it already was. Not only does the vehicle give V8 SUVs a run for their money, but it also happens to be 15% more efficient.
It’s worth noting that Jeep also claimed second place in the 2023 Four Wheeler competition with the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe. What’s more, the auto brand has received more Four Wheeler honors in the last 50 years than any other. Mount Airy CDJRF shares more about the prestigious SUV of the Year award and explains what makes the Wagoneer and the Hurricane Twin Turbo so special.

What Is the Four Wheeler SUV of the Year Award?
Four Wheeler is a widely respected 4×4 enthusiast publication, and every year the editors judge an array of all-new and redesigned SUVs. The SUV of the Year award is one of the most coveted in the industry.
The testing process for the award is wide-ranging and strenuous, including a week of:
- Off-road assessments on mountainous and desert terrain
- Quarter-mile and 0-60 acceleration
- 0-60 braking distance
Each vehicle must navigate a range of off-road conditions, such as loose dirt, hill, climbs, rotted, back roads, loose surface trails, Rocky to rain, mode, snow, ice, and sand. The judges even evaluate the SUVs’ performance at night to assess their lighting capabilities. The 2023 Wagoneer earned top honors when all categories were considered.
Here’s the thing: the Wagoneer has established itself as a luxurious, plus-sized SUV. In other words, performance and capability may not be the first characteristics that come to mind, which is what makes this award so special.
What the Experts Think
Here’s how Four Wheeler Content Director, Sean P Holman, described the competition results:
“The big Wagoneer is going to get the family down the road in comfort and style and right past the trailhead. The traction control is exceptional, the suspension supple, and that new I-6 engine is a powerhouse of torque and refinement. We didn’t go into the test thinking the Wagoneer would win, but it earned every vote thanks to how well it did everything we asked of it.”
Mr. Holman wasn’t the only Four Wheeler staff member to comment on the Wagoneer’s extraordinary achievement. Editor Ken Brubaker stated:
“Four Wheeler’s comprehensive 2023 SUV of the Year testing proved that Stellantis has eloquently achieved the elusive task of creating a full-size SUV that can dominate challenging terrain including rocky trails, mud, and snow. We found the Wagoneer’s Hurricane twin-turbo engine to be a powerhouse, the vehicle’s on-road manners are impeccable, and the fit and finish is superb. The Wagoneer demonstrated that it’s worthy of wearing the storied Wagoneer nameplate and the 2023 Four Wheeler SUV of the Year crown.”
Truck Trend editor, Jason Gonderman, has commented on how the Four Wheeler SUV of the Year winner is often a vehicle that no one expects to win. According to him, the Wagoneer “[snuck] in and [took] the prize from the more outwardly off-road oriented competitors.” He added that the full-size SUV “combines a quiet and comfortable cabin with legendary off-road pedigree and the hardware to back it up…opting for the company’s phenomenal new twin-turbocharged I-6 engine makes the package truly irresistible.”
The competition panel consisted of the entire MotorTrend & Off-Road Group staff. That is, all the judges come with a rich history of experience working with Truck Trend, Diesel Power, Jp, 4-Wheel & Off-Road, Four Wheeler, and other respected brands.
Jeep for the Win
As mentioned, Jeep has won the Four Wheeler SUV of the Year award more than any other brand. While many were surprised by the Wagoneer winning it all this year, it’s nothing new for the legendary 4×4 automaker.
Jim Morrison, senior vice president of Jeep Brand North America, noted that the brand works from a foundation of more than 80 years of industry-leading 4×4 capability, which the Wagoneer has now injected into the large SUV segment. He stated:
“To earn the prestigious title of Four Wheeler SUV of the Year for the second year in a row and the 18th time overall is a testament to our core values of delivering Freedom, Adventure, Authenticity and Passion to our Jeep customers, and now our Wagoneer customers, by giving them the capability to truly go anywhere and do anything. The Four Wheeler SUV of the Year test is unmatched, and we’re truly honored to be recognized by a team of avid and expert off-roaders who truly understand 4×4 capability.”
Here’s a list of all the Jeep vehicles (18) that have captured the Four Wheeler SUV of the Year through the 50 years of the competition:

What Is the Hurricane Twin Turbo?
The Hurricane Twin Turbo I-6 has instantly become the benchmark for power and efficiency in the large SUV class. It produces more horsepower and torque than most of the rivals’ boosted six-cylinder and naturally aspirated V-8 engines — all while minimizing emissions.
Coming standard on Wagoneer Series II and Series III, the new engine yields 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque. It has also measured up to 15% more efficient than other large engines, and it provides up to 24 miles per gallon on the highway.
It’s hard to overstate how smooth the Hurricane Twin Turbo feels when driving, and it consists of next-level engineering and technologies. Drivers can enjoy enhanced throttle response thanks to two low-inertia, high-flow turbochargers, as well as low-friction wear surface from the plasma transfer wire arc coating in the cylinder pores. Moreover, the engine provides high-pressure direct fuel injection.
Stellantis has made no secret of its goal to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, repeatedly stating its intention to reduce its carbon footprint 50% by 2030. The auto manufacturer also plans to reach net carbon zero by 2038, among other goals outlined in the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan.
What’s With All the Wagoneer Hype?
Jeep brought back the Wagoneer for the 2022 model year after a 30-year hiatus. As in the 1970s–90s, the new generation of the large SUV is designed for growing American families (or the couples who simply want luxury). Perhaps what makes the Wagoneer so unique is that it creates a sense of adventure while seating up to eight passengers and carrying an extraordinary amount of cargo.
Distinguished Capability
The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer leads the class with a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, meaning you can drive around with pretty much any equipment and toys you want without compromising comfort in the cabin. Plus, you can enjoy unmatched technology and connectivity.
Aside from first-rate driving dynamics, the entire Wagoneer lineup offers impressive 4×4 capabilities. Every version comes with the Selec-Terrain system, which lets drivers choose from five modes: Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Sand/Mud. You can also fine-tune your 4×4 performance by selecting the on- or off-road setting. The Selec-Terrain system manages up to 12 different powertrain, 4×4, torque split/ suspension, and braking systems electronically. Some of these include:
- Throttle control
- Transmission shift
- Selec-Speed control
- Hill-descent control
- Transfer case
Then, you have the Advanced All Terrain Group, which is optional on the Wagoneer Series II. This package takes the vehicle’s capability even further with beefier off-road tires, a two-speed transfer case, and a 3.92 rear axle ratio. The package also provides:
- An electronic limited slip differential
- A Quadra-Lift air suspension system
- A front suspension skid plate
- A transfer case skid plate
- A fuel tank skid plate
- Chrome tow hooks
- Removable rear tow hooks
Refined Interior
It would be difficult to find a more impressive cabin than that of the Wagoneer. The heavily lauded interior exudes elegance at every turn with top-notch materials and class-leading technology. The SUV can comfortably seat eight adults, due in part to the spacious third row.
The advanced Uconnect 5 system, 360-degree surround view, and head-up display are sure to please even the most critical drivers. And the Wagoneer provides up to 50 inches of total screen surface! Further, you can get a McIntosh audio system (an industry first) and have Amazon Fire TV built into the infotainment system.
The 2023 Wagoneer comes in four different trims: Wagoneer, Series II, Carbide, and Series III. Its more luxurious sibling, the Grand Wagoneer, is available in the base model, Series II, Obsidian, Series III, and Series III Obsidian.
What Size of SUV Do You Need?
Jeep offers SUVs at every size (and budget), but how do you know which size will fit your family’s needs now and in the future? As you look at different models, you’ll quickly find that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution.
When selecting an SUV for your family, you’ll want to consider factors like price, cargo space, seating capacity, and fuel economy. Here are some quick tips for picking the optimal vehicle:
Think about how much cargo space you need. A large SUV (like the Wagoneer) might be the way to go if you plan to carry a lot of gear or luggage when traveling. You should also assess how many people will ride in the vehicle regularly.
Consider the type of terrain you’ll be driving on. If you typically drive on off-road paths or unpaved roads, an all-terrain option (e.g., Wagoneer, Wrangler, Cherokee, etc.) may be more suitable than a standard road vehicle.
Take fuel economy into consideration. Getting a model with better gas mileage could save you money in the long run if you frequently drive long distances or have multiple passengers in the car often. The Grand Cherokee and Wrangler 4xe models are hard to beat!
Compare prices of different models and brands. Taking time to shop around can help ensure that you find one that meets all of your needs while still staying within your budget constraints.
The 2023 Wagoneer with the Hurricane Twin Turbo I-6 is an SUV that will take you anywhere, in comfort and style. A powerful engine and cutting-edge technology make this vehicle stand out from its rivals. Considering its impressive performance and fuel efficiency, it’s no wonder that it was voted the Four Wheeler 2023 SUV of the Year. Give us a call at Mount Airy CDJRF to learn about the remarkable Jeep models on our lot — as well as those that are coming soon!
Are you looking for a capable new car, truck, or SUV to enhance your daily drives or weekend adventures? The 2023 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram lineups have something for everyone. From the off-road conquering Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk to the sleek Chrysler 300 for (those who appreciate luxury features and design), these vehicles offer the power and dependability needed to take on any journey with ease.
Whether it’s time to replace an aging automobile or upgrade from an older model, you’re not short on choices. Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat discusses the new 2023 models to look forward to the most!

What’s New for Chrysler?
Let’s start with one of America’s classic car brands. Here’s the low-down on what 2023 means for Chrysler:
Chrysler 300
The Chrysler 300 Touring (the entry-level trim) now comes with the SafetyTec Plus Group as an option. The driver assistance suite comes with automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and many other safety features. The safety package is still available on the other trims (Touring L, 300S V6, and 300S V8).
All Chrysler 300 models come with a reliable transmission, powerful engines, and ample passenger space. The vehicle hasn’t seen a design overhaul in some time, but fans still flock to its classic appearance.
Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In
While there haven’t been any notable changes to the 2023 Chrysler Pacific Plug-In, it remains one of the most innovative minivans on the market and arguably the most attractive. The model comes in Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle versions, and you’ll get 32 miles of all-electric driving range with any trim you choose.
One advantage that the Pacifica plug-in has over its standard sibling is better acceleration. It also happens to be the only PHEV minivan in the industry, and it provides a wealth of intuitive and functional features. With this model, it’s clear that Chrysler sought to provide solutions to the most prominent issues families face on daily commutes.
What’s New for Dodge?
Dodge has made no secret that it’s headed to an all-electric future, and if the brand lives up to expectations, drivers won’t miss much about the gas-powered models of today. That said, there are plenty of powerful, attractive, and overall impressive Dodge models worth considering in 2023:
Dodge Hornet
Many car fans remember when Dodge released the Dart sedan in 2013 (which it discontinued in 2016). The brand hasn’t produced an all-new model since then — until now. The subcompact crossover Dodge Hornet releases with two available variants, each coming with its own powertrain.
The Hornet GT is powered by A turbocharged 2.0L in-line four that produces around 265 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque; the engine is matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Hornet R/T provides a PHEV setup that includes a(n):
- Turbocharged 1.3L four-cylinder
- Electric motor
- 15.5 kWh battery pack
- Six-speed automatic transmission.
This model delivers 285 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. The EV driving range is 30 miles. And you can gain a temporary 25-horsepower boost with the PowerShot function.
No matter the trim, the 2023 Dodge Hornet comes with all-wheel drive, a 10.25-inch infotainment system touchscreen with Uconnect 5, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Available features include a 14-speaker Harman Kardon, audio system, heated seats and steering wheel, a full safety suite, rain-sensing wipers, and more.
Dodge Challenger
The legendary dodge challenger is back for 2023. Drivers can still opt for the SRT superstock, which comes with a supercharged 6.2 L V8 engine that’s good for 807 hp. Some other trims have received a new engine (SXT, SXT AWD, GT, and GT AWD — a 3.6L V6 that yields 303 hp.
Here are some of the other trims and engines available in 2023:
- R/T: 5.7L HEMI V8 (375 hp)
- R/T Scat Pack: 6.4L HEMI V8 (485 hp)
- SRT Hellcat and SRT and Hellcat Redeye: 6.2L HEMI (717 hp)
The 807-hp option comes with the Jailbreak package, available on the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye.
Dodge Durango
In 2021, Dodge released the Durango SRT Hellcat but discontinued it for 2022. It’s back for 2023 with it’s 710 -hp supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 engine. The Durango SRT 392 offers a 6.4L HEMI V8 that produces 475 hp and 8,700 pounds of towing. If you’re looking for a more sensible trim for your family commutes, the Durango SXT, GT, and Citadel variants are excellent options.
What’s New for Jeep?
It seems like added capability is Jeep’s theme for 2023, as most of its SUVs and trucks have received updates, including new powertrains and equipment. New exterior paint options and packages are sure to please too!
Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is about as off-road-ready as they come, and it now comes standard with Jeep’s 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain. The 2.0L turbo-four and two-motor AWD system combine for 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The 2023 Trailhawk 4xe also replaces 2022’s Neutral Gray exterior accents with Gloss Black.
Jeep Compass
There’s a lot to be excited about with the 2023 Jeep Compass. The compact crossover receives a wealth of new standard features, including:
- A 2.0L turbocharged in-line four (200 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque)
- An eight-speed automatic transmission
- Four-wheel drive
- A 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen
If you’ve been a fan of the Compass and simply wanted a more powerful engine, any of the 2023 variants should satisfy!
Jeep Gladiator
A new Freedom special edition is available for the 2023 Jeep Gladiator. It comes with steel rock rails, winch-ready steel front and rear bumpers, LED headlights and foglights, and other capability-boosting features. The Gladiator Freedom boasts body-colored fender flares, an Oscar Mike badge, and black wheels and accents. The cabin includes cloth seats with leather trim and black stitching.
Drivers get two new exterior paint colors on the 2023 Gladiator: an aqua-gray Earl, and a neon-yellow High Velocity that replaces Snazzberry). All Gladiator trims feature An American flag decal on the front fenders. The Willys variant has newly standard features in a 7.0-inch instrument cluster screen, a universal garage door opener, keyless entry, and remote start. And the Gladiator High Altitude is more capable than ever with a forward off-road camera, winch-capable steel front bumper, and steel rock rails now standard.
What’s New for Ram?
As we anticipate the arrival of the Ram all-electric truck in the coming years, the auto brand hasn’t made any major departures with its 2023 models. However, that’s not to say there haven’t been any notable upgrades. Here are the details on what 2023 Ram buyers can look forward to:
Ram 1500
The Ram 1500 has been loaded with all kinds of awards for several years, so it’s a good thing it has uncompromising payload and towing capacities! The truck gets a new variant in 2023: the Limited Elite edition. As the most luxurious Ram available, this top trim is based on the standard Limited version and adds premium leather, heated and ventilated 12-way front seats, a jeweled rotary shifter, a multi-function tailgate, a deployable bed step, and several other rich features.
All higher 1500 models now come with an optional 12.3-inch frameless digital instrument cluster, and the entire lineup comes standard with an LED hitch lamp, a sanitizing UV glove box light, and a rear-seat reminder. 2023 sees the return of the Ram Red edition, and you can now get the Selec-Speed Control system on more trims. The Off-Road group — available on the Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited — includes new 22-inch all-terrain tires.
Ram 2500/3500
Only a few updates have been made to the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500, but the changes are significant. The 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 now offer redesigned telescoping tow mirrors and a new camera system that includes the Trailer Tow pages app (which offers behind-trailer, blind-spot, and several other views).
Drivers also get the Trailer Reverse Steering Control system — a new feature that uses driver-entered measurements to help a camera accurately track trailer position and control the steering wheel. Other notable upgrades include an optional fully digital instrument cluster, digital rearview mirror, and Mopar performance hood on Laramie and Limited trims.
Ram ProMaster
Of all the Ram models, the ProMaster gets the most upgrades in 2023. The full-size van sports an attractive front facia with LED headlights and fog lights, and you can now choose from three roof heights, one of them being a super-high roof with best-in-class cargo volume.
You can also get a new roll-up garage-style rear door, a Spitfire Orange or Ceramic Gray exterior paint, new alloy wheels, and a black appearance package on the ProMaster. The van gets parallel-perpendicular park assist as well. And we have the electric ProMaster arriving later in the year to look forward to!

Your car is old, you’re tired of driving and dealing with it, but you also don’t want to hassle with trading it in—isn’t that a difficult process? Actually, trading in your car can be quick and easy when you deal with Mount Airy Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat, because we do everything in-house. We also have a few tips for getting top trade-in value for your used vehicle no matter where you decide to shop.
Having to go to multiple places—the DMV, a private seller or dealership, etc.—might not seem like a big deal; that is, until you have to do it. Having everything done in one place, and at one time makes everything easier. Simply drive your trade-in to the dealership and drive your new car back home! No paperwork getting lost between the seats, no traffic jams, and no queue at the counter waiting for someone to help you who knows nothing about your situation.
“But what if I end up needing financing for the new car?”
Not a problem—we do that too. We can provide financing for you, but if you would rather go with your bank that’s not a problem; simply get your financing squared away before you bring your old car to us, which you can do online.
If you have an existing loan on your trade-in, we can pay it off. We come across this situation often, and it’s yet another easy process: we pay off the remaining balance on your car loan and receive the title directly from the lender. If our offer for your trade-in is higher than the loan payoff, you get what’s left and can apply that to your new purchase.
There is also what’s called being “upside down” on your loan. This is when you owe more on your car than it’s worth. It’s not an ideal situation to be in, but trading it in is still your best bet. In this case, we will discuss your options, but more than likely this is how it will end up: We pay off your loan and add the difference to the balance of the car you want to buy. Again, trading it in and buying your next car at the same place will give you a bigger trade-in value, which then pays off more of your existing loan.
Tips on Trading In
Trading in is easy at Mount Airy, and we have a few tips to help you get top dollar for your car. Seriously consider doing the following to your vehicle before arrival so you can be sure to get what your car is worth—maybe even more!
Thoroughly clean the interior.
Back in the day when dealerships were viewed as high-pressure sales competitions, bringing in your car for a trade-in or sale was a bit different. If your car was shiny and clean it was a sign you were planning on leaving the dealership without it—indicating an easy sale for the money-hungry sales rep.
These days, however, things are different. Reputable dealerships like us focus on keeping customers for the long haul, creating lasting relationships.
Instead of worrying about getting ripped off, the customer should focus on getting the most money out of the car as possible. A clean car connotes a car cared for; it supplies the feeling that it was driven well and maintained well (even if this is not exactly true).
Shine the exterior.
The biggest difference in the process of appraising a clean car versus a dirty car is this: A dirty car will most likely be checked more closely for problems, because if the car looks bad on the outside there is a good chance it was not well maintained. Before bringing yours in, have the car detailed and waxed. Be sure to get those often-forgotten places as well—door and trunk jams, the interior glass, etc.
Freshen up those foggy headlights.
Faded, foggy lights make the entire car look dingy and worn. Even if your car is pretty worn down, replacing the lights with new ones that are crystal clear makes a big difference. And if you don’t want to pay for brand-new lights, there are plenty of do-it-yourself-kits out there that do an excellent job of defogging.

What should make your vehicle Christmas list? All things that enhance your driving experience in terms of convenience, comfort, and safety are worth considering. Honestly, there are so many options out there when it comes to personalizing your vehicle that it can become a bit overwhelming, which is why Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has culled a list of this year’s 10 best vehicle add-ons. Check out what we found:
1. The TWC-01. Car vacuum—$25 on Amazon.
Keeping a car clean can be difficult, especially when children are involved. The presence of a compact, powerful car vacuum can help you to clean messes up in the moment. Especially handy for those longer car rides, the TWC-01 comes with a 16-foot cord that plugs into the car itself, allowing for cleaning in even the hardest-to-reach areas.
2. Amazon Echo Auto—$50 on Amazon.
Anyone who uses Alexa regularly will benefit from this gift. The Echo Auto is a small gadget that connects Alexa to your car and lets you use the virtual assistant safely. Once the Echo is incorporated, you can use it for entertainment and navigation by speaking into any of the eight built-in microphones.
3. Reverse Travel Umbrella—$26 on Amazon.
What makes this umbrella special is that it is both wind resistant and it folds inside of itself, which keeps it from leaking over the interior of your car (everyone hates that terrible mess of trying to quickly enter the car while simultaneously folding up the umbrella only so it can then pour all the rainwater it collected over you and the inside of your car; kind of defeats the purpose of the umbrella). It also comes with a lifetime warranty and is offered in a variety of colors. In other words, you’ll be dry and stylin’!
4. Bluetooth 5.0 FM Transmitter—$40 at Amazon.
Feeling bad because you don’t have the latest and greatest infotainment inside your car? Worry no more with the 5.0 Transmitter that charges phones, transmits the radio, and manages phone calls. This tool’s multifunctionality makes it effective on multiple levels—it can even play audio files, act as a virtual assistant, and light up!
5. One-Touch Cup Holder Car Mount—$29 at Amazon.
Using this car mount is a great way to put that extra, unused cup holder to use. The base of the phone mount locks into place, ensuring it won’t move or fall out while driving, so your phone can securely charge and navigate as you drive. It even comes with a magnetic cord organizer to keep wires from being strewn about the car—and it’s compatible with any modern smartphone brand.
6. RAD 480i Laser Radar Detector—$150 Amazon.
Hmmm, what’s the perfect gift for that speed demon in the family? A radar detector! And not just any radar either, the RAD 480i accurately detects both laser and radar plenty in advance for the driver to make any necessary adjustments to speed. The accuracy is due to the app’s real-time updates combined with its ability to discern false alerts. Hopefully, this handy gadget will teach responsibility rather than encourage poor driving behaviors…
7. RESQME Keychain Car Escape Tool—$10 Amazon.
It should be standard that everyone has an emergency escape tool inside the car. We hate to even think about getting stuck inside or having someone stuck inside the car, but it happens. The RESQME tool can quickly break glass and cut seat belts. It’s also incredibly lightweight and easy to store—and it comes in tons of colors. $10 isn’t much when it comes to keeping yourself and your loved ones safe.
8. The Drive Bin—$12 Amazon.
Rather than using the car floorboards as a communal trash bin, allow your children the privilege of tossing garbage into an actual garbage bin. It’s so hard to keep a car clean, but it’s amazing what a perfectly sized little trashcan can do. The Drive Bin is waterproof (leaky drinks!) and comes with disposable plastic bags. Even better, it can adjust in shape, so it fits just about anywhere you like inside your car—even attached to your headrest.
9. Riparo Motorsports Driving Gloves—$50 Amazon.
Ergonomically crafted with quality soft leather, the Riparo Driving Gloves are an excellent gift for anyone who drives—short or long distances. The perforated areas of the glove help to grip the wheel, and as they age, they mold to your hands and develop a patina. These come in multiple sizes and clip at the wrist for a secure fit.
10. Tile Pro Bluetooth Tracker—$25 Amazon.
As frustrating as it is to lose your car keys (why is it always when we’re in a rush that this happens?), you would think everyone would have this product. The Tile Pro can track your keys from as far as 400 miles away, and it’s waterproof. For $25, this should be in every stocking this year.
Our Favorite Travel Apps
Even with the best add-ons and apps and devices, traveling can be tricky, especially when the whole family is involved. Over the holidays any form of travel feels extra difficult—scurrying for flights, vying for parking spots, and learning new ways to get stuck in traffic. Luckily, these days there are plenty of apps to download that can keep you relaxed and on time to all of your destinations this holiday season.
Here are the travel apps we are most excited about this year:
Flightradar24
Get up-to-date information on any flight you want 24 hours a day. With this app, you will get notice of delays, cancellations, changes in locations, etc. so that you’re always in the know of your flight status. Once you register with this app, you can view all fights from the past, as well as current ones, and you’ll always get accurate information.
Skyscanner
Since the costs of flights fluctuate so much, it’s best to have an app like this one that can scour the internet to find you the cheapest flight possible. All you need to know are your travel dates, and Skyscanner will do the rest. You can also filter flight times, number of stops, and other characteristics. Another nice aspect to this app is that it stores all your information, so you always know where you are in terms of purchasing tickets.
PackPoint
This unique app literally helps you pack your suitcases. Sounds crazy, but it works! Simply download the app, answer a few specific questions about your upcoming trip, and the app will create a packing list of things you need. These things will be based on weather forecasts in the area you are heading, and it will even provide locations of fun activities, gas stations, and anything else you specify as needed. Even better, the generated list is always customizable so you can make minor adjustments where necessary.
Waze
Getting lost is awful, but getting caught in severe traffic might be worse (at least you are moving while lost). Waze not only points you in the right direction, it considers traffic patterns in real-time and it makes adjustments while you’re driving—these tweaks in direction are updated as drivers make notes on the app itself: if there is a car accident and you make note of it in Waze, it will update the entire system. Waze gets you where you’re going by people helping people.
Safe travels this holiday season, and best of luck—not that you’ll need it with these apps!

How Can You Find the Best Deal on a New Car in 2022?
When it comes to buying a new car, there are a few things you can do to ensure you get the best deal possible. First, do your research and know which model you’re interested in purchasing.
Once you’ve narrowed down your choices, it’s time to start shopping around. It’s helpful to compare prices from different dealerships and online retailers. You may also want to consider waiting for specific sales or promotions that can offer significant savings on your new car purchase.
Finally, it’s always worth negotiating with the dealership to get the best possible price on your new vehicle. Let the salesperson know you’ve done your research, and bring print-outs of the deals you’ve found.
What Factors Matter Most When Choosing a New Car Model in 2022?
With so many options on the market, it can be tough to know where to start on your car shopping journey. Here are some essential factors to consider when choosing a new car model in 2022:
- Your budget: How much can you afford to spend on a new car?
- The purpose of your vehicle: Are you looking for a family vehicle or something more sporty?
- Fuel efficiency: With gas prices on the rise, it’s more important than ever to choose a car that won’t break the bank at the pump.
- Your desired features: Do you need a car with GPS navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, or heated front seats?
- Your own personal style: What kind of car do you envision yourself driving?
These are not the only characteristics to think about as you search for the perfect new car. But they’re an excellent starting point for narrowing down your options.
How Do You Know if You’re Getting a Good Deal on a New Car Purchase in 2022?
In August 2022, the average new vehicle sold for $48,301, which was about 11% higher than the previous year. Many factors can influence the price of a new car, such as the model, trim level, and add-ons. That’s why it can be challenging to know if you’re getting a good deal on a new car purchase.
One way to determine if you’re getting your money’s worth is to compare the total price of the car to the MSRP. The MSRP is the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price, and it’s the best starting point for negotiating the price of a new car. As mentioned, Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is still selling all of its new models at MSRP (with no premium fees) to help car buyers in an inflationary economy.
You should also compare the total price of the car to similar models in the same class to get an idea of how much you should expect to pay for the car. And remember to factor in any rebates or incentives that may be available, as they can help lower the overall cost of the car.
Are There Any Tax Incentives or Rebates Available for Car Buyers in 2022?
According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), there are a few tax incentives or rebates available for those buying cars in 2022. The federal government offers a $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicles, and many states offer additional incentives for buyers of hybrid or alternative fuel vehicles.
Some manufacturers offer discounts or rebates on specific models that meet certain fuel efficiency standards. However, it’s important to check with your local dealership or the IRS to see if any of these incentives or rebates apply to you before making a purchase.
How Can You Finance Your New Car Purchase in 2022?
If you’re planning to finance your purchase, you’ll want to approach it strategically. Here are five things to know:
- You’ll need to have a good credit score to qualify for the best interest rates.
- You’ll need to learn about all your available financing options.
- The two most common options are leasing and taking out an auto loan.
- Leasing is often the cheaper option in the short term but can be more expensive in the long run.
- Taking out an auto loan will usually require a down payment, but it can be the more affordable option if you can get a low interest rate.
Whatever option you choose, remember to do your research and compare offers from multiple lenders before making a decision.

But what if we told you that your own personal vehicle could be up for the task? Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has everything you need to know about towing with a pickup truck!

How Much Can a Pickup Truck Tow?
This is probably the question we hear most often from customers. And the answer is: it depends. There are a few factors that can impact your pickup truck’s towing capacity, including:
- The type of pickup truck: Full-size, mid-size, or light-duty?
- The engine size: The bigger the engine, the more powerful it is and the greater its towing capacity will be.
- The transmission: Automatic transmissions typically have higher capacity than manual transmissions.
- The axle ratio: A lower axle ratio means more torque and therefore a greater towing capacity.
A 2022 Ram 1500 with a 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission has a maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds! That’s enough power to tow smaller RVs, boats, and even some horse trailers.
Of course, it’s always important to consult your owner’s manual before hitching anything up to your pickup truck. Every make and model has different capabilities, and you don’t want to accidentally overload your vehicle.
Common Terms Used When Comparing Towing Capacity
If you’ve ever looked up your pickup truck’s towing capacity online, you’ve probably come across some strange terms and numbers that left you scratching your head. Here are a few standard terms used when discussing towing capacity that may help you be a more informed shopper:
- GCWR or Gross Combined Weight Rating: This is the total weight of your fully-loaded vehicle (including passengers and cargo) plus the weight of whatever you’re hauling behind it.
- Payload: Payload refers to how much weight your vehicle can carry in its bed without overloading. It’s important not to exceed your payload capacity when packing up your truck for a trip because it can impact braking ability and increase wear and tear on suspension components.
- GVWR or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: This is the maximum amount of weight your vehicle can safely carry — again, including passengers and cargo plus whatever you’re pulling behind it. If you exceed your GVWR, you risk damaging your engine, transmission, brakes, and tires. You get the idea: not good!
What Determines Towing Capability?
Now that you have the basics of towing down, let’s take a deeper look into the various factors that ultimately determine how much a specific pickup truck can tow, including the weight you’re carrying and your truck’s cab size, bed length, engine, transmission, gear ratio, and more.
Towing Capacity = Weight + Cab Size + Bed Length + Engine Size + Transmission + Gear Ratio
The Weight
Regarding towing capacity, the item’s weight is one of the most important factors to consider. The heavier the item you’re trying to tow, the more strain it puts on your pickup truck, ultimately leading to damage or even failure. That’s why it’s crucial to be mindful of your vehicle’s weight capacity and the weight of whatever you’re hauling.
For example, if you’re trying to tow an RV that weighs 5,000 pounds and your pickup truck has a maximum towing capacity of 7,000 pounds, you’re already at risk of overloading. Add don’t forget humans. If you add four good-sized men and their gear to that equation you may have a real problem. And if you try to tow something even heavier than that RV, you could seriously damage your truck. So be sure to do your research and consult your owner’s manual before attempting any heavy-duty towing!
Cab/Bed Configuration
Another important factor to consider is the size of your truck’s cab and bed. A larger cab typically means a higher towing capacity, as there’s more room for a bigger engine. Similarly, a longer bed will also provide more space for a bigger engine, meaning more power and a higher towing capacity.
So if you’re looking for a pickup truck with a high towing capacity, pay attention to the size of the cab and bed. It’s also worth noting that crew cab trucks (trucks with four full-size doors) typically have higher towing capacities than extended cab trucks (trucks with two full-size doors and two smaller doors).

Transmission
The type of transmission a pickup truck has will also impact its towing ability. Automatic transmissions are typically better for towing than manual transmissions because they can handle heavy loads more efficiently.
Naturally, the specific engine-transmission combo of a truck influences its towing capability. For example, a truck with a V8 engine and automatic transmission can tow more than a truck with a V6 engine and manual transmission.
Engine

6.4L V8 Heavy-Duty HEMI MDS Engine
Pickup trucks come in all shapes and sizes and with different engine options. The engine size and type will help determine how much weight a truck can tow. For example, a V8 engine can tow more than a V6 engine. Additionally, diesel engines are usually more powerful than gasoline engines and can tow more weight; this is because diesel engines have more torque, or rotational force, than gasoline engines.
Suspension and Brakes
Pickup trucks must have reliable suspension and brakes to tow large loads. Without good suspension, it will be difficult for the truck to keep the load level and stable. Not to mention, the truck could sway from side to side or even flip over while towing. And when a pickup isn’t equipped with the appropriate brakes, the driver won’t be able to stop quickly when necessary.
Gear Ratio
Your truck’s gear ratio is also essential to its towing capability. The gear ratio is the number of times the driveshaft turns for each revolution of the wheels. A higher gear ratio means that the driveshaft turns more times for each revolution of the wheels, which is better for towing.
Tires
Finally, your tires play a significant role. Tires with a lower profile are better for towing because they have a larger contact patch with the ground. This provides more traction and stability when towing.
As you can see, there are many factors to consider regarding towing capability. Be sure to research accordingly before buying your new pickup truck!
RAM Trucks vs. Jeep Gladiator
If you’re like many other drivers, towing capability is critical when it comes to choosing a pickup truck. As we’ve discussed, many factors determine what and how much a specific truck can tow. RAM and Jeep Gladiator models are some of the most popular on the market, and not just because of their impressive towing capabilities.
RAM 1500
The RAM 1500 is a popular choice for drivers looking for a truck with a high towing capacity. The truck has a maximum towing capacity of 12,700 pounds, making it perfect for towing large loads. The engine is a 5.7L HEMI® V8 with eTorque that produces 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. This provides plenty of power to tow heavy loads with ease.
The RAM 1500 also comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronic stability control system. The suspension is designed for towing, and the truck features Trailer Sway Control to keep the load level and stable while towing.
The brakes are also reliable, ensuring that the driver can stop quickly when necessary. The tires are all-season and have a low profile, providing extra traction and stability when towing. Overall, the RAM 1500 is an excellent choice for drivers looking for a truck that can easily tow large loads.
RAM 2500
The RAM 2500 is a powerful pickup truck capable of towing up to 13,600 pounds. It has a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. It also has a RamBox cargo management system that helps you organize your cargo.
The RAM 2500 and RAM 1500 are both capable pickup trucks, but they have some primary differences. The RAM 2500 has a more powerful engine and can tow even more weight than the RAM 1500. It’s also bigger and has a more rugged design. The RAM 1500 is smaller and a little more fuel efficient. It’s a good choice for someone who needs a pickup for slightly lighter tasks.
RAM 3500
The RAM 3500 is the most powerful pickup truck in the RAM lineup. It has a 6.7L Cummins® V8 turbocharged diesel engine that produces up to 420 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque. This provides more than enough power to tow even the heaviest loads. The truck also has an Aisin AS69RC six-speed automatic transmission and a BorgWarner 4462 transfer case. It has a maximum towing capacity of 37,090 pounds and can easily handle the most demanding jobs.
The RAM 3500 also provides an electronic stability control system, trailer sway control, and a hill start assist system to keep the truck moving safely and smoothly. The brakes are powerful and reliable, and the tires have a robust tread design for extra traction when towing. This truck is the cream of the crop if you need something to handle the most daring towing jobs.
Jeep Gladiator
The Jeep Gladiator is a popular choice for drivers who need to navigate off-road terrain. It has a maximum towing capacity of 7,650 pounds and comes with a 3.6L V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The truck also features an electronic stability control system and an all-wheel-drive system that provides superior traction when driving on treacherous surfaces.
The Jeep Gladiator is designed for off-road use. It comes equipped with Dana 44 front and rear axles, Tru-Lok locking differentials, and an electronic disconnecting sway bar. This gives drivers the power and stability they need when driving on rough terrain. The truck also has an approach angle of 43 degrees, a departure angle of 37 degrees, and a breakover angle of 20 degrees, making it one of the most capable trucks on the market for off-road driving.
The Gladiator also has many features that make it a respectable choice for towing. It has a Class III trailer hitch receiver and comes with a four-pin and seven-pin wiring harness. The truck also has LED tail lamps and fog lamps that provide better visibility when towing in low-light conditions. Overall, the Jeep Gladiator is an excellent choice for drivers who need a truck that can handle both off-road driving and towing.
Which Truck Should You Get?
RAM and Jeep maintain stellar reputations for manufacturing the toughest, most capable pickup trucks available. The RAM 3500 is a great choice if you need a powerful truck that can handle the heaviest loads. If you’re looking for a truck that can handle off-road driving and towing, the Jeep Gladiator is an excellent option. And the RAM 1500 is a superb fit if your priority is to drive a versatile truck that’s capable of light towing. Whichever truck you choose, make sure it has the power and features you need to get the job done right.
Conclusion
Now that you know a bit more about what goes into determining your pickup truck’s towing capability, we hope you feel confident about choosing the best model for your needs (or using your current truck for hauling jobs big and small). As the leaves start to change color and the weather gets cooler, it’s essential to start thinking about fall maintenance for your vehicle. Just like you need to prepare your home for the colder months, your car also needs attention to ensure it runs smoothly all season long.
Below, Mount Airy CDJRF explains the importance of getting an oil change and handling a few other things before the frigid weather arrives. Let’s get you ready for the frost!
Getting an Oil Change
One of the most important things you can do for your car this fall is to get an oil change. Along with helping your car run smoothly, this will also prevent any rust or corrosion that can happen during the winter months.
Regular oil changes are crucial no matter what time of year it is. Dirty oil can cause all sorts of problems for your engine, and as the temperature starts to drop in the fall, you’ll want to ensure your engine is well-lubricated.
How often you should get your oil changed depends on several factors, such as the type of engine oil you use, the make and model of your vehicle, and how you drive it. Most mechanics recommend getting an oil change every 3,000 miles or every three months, whichever comes first. If you’re not sure when you last had your oil changed, take your car in for a check-up before the weather gets too cold!
Checking Your Battery
Cold weather can be tough on car batteries, so it’s a good idea to have yours tested before winter arrives. A weak battery will struggle to start your car on cold mornings, so save yourself the headache and get it replaced now if necessary.
There are a few things that can drain a car battery, such as leaving the headlights on, using the car’s power outlets, or constantly having a lot of electronics plugged in. If you’re not going to be using your car for an extended period of time, consider disconnecting the battery altogether. Doing so will help keep the battery from dying while it’s sitting in storage.
Inspecting Your Tires
Take a look at your tires to ensure they have enough tread and are properly inflated. This is important for both safety and fuel efficiency. If you live in an area that gets a lot of snow, you might want to invest in a set of winter tires. While it’s always best to get a mechanic’s opinion, you can measure your tires’ tread depth and check for uneven wear from home.
To measure the tread depth, place a penny upside down so that Lincoln’s head faces down into the tire’s grooves. If you can’t see Lincoln’s head, the tread is deep enough. If you can see his head, the tread needs to be replaced.
To check for uneven wear, place a piece of paper on the tops of each tire and drive in a straight line. The paper should move evenly across each tire. If it doesn’t, then one side of the tire is wearing down more than the other, which could be a sign that you need to get your wheels aligned.
Topping Off Your Fluids
As temperatures drop, you’ll want to ensure all the fluid levels in your car are where they should be. The primary fluids to check in your vehicle include:
- Engine oil
- Transmission fluid
- Brake fluid
- Power steering fluid
- Windshield wiper fluid
- Antifreeze/coolant
If any of these fluids are low, top them off or get them replaced as needed. These fluids play a critical role in keeping your car running smoothly, so keep an eye on them!
Cleaning Out Your Car
Now is a good time to give your car a good cleaning — inside and out. Remove any clutter that has accumulated over the summer months, and give the interior a thorough vacuuming and wipe-down. Don’t forget about the trunk! And while you’re at it, wash (or better yet, wax) the exterior of your car to protect the paint and keep it looking shiny and new.
Conclusion
The colder months are arriving, and it’s essential to give your vehicle the attention it needs. Start by getting an oil change, then inspect your battery, tires, and fluids and replace whatever is necessary. Following these simple tips will prepare your car to run smoothly for the next several months — and help you avoid stressful surprises. Take time this season to service your vehicle with Mount Airy CDJRF, and enjoy worry-free driving all year round!

The upcoming Jeep BEV is the first all-electric Jeep. Called “Avenger” in the UK and “Jeepster” in other foreign markets, the BEV is not yet named for North American markets. It looks like this new electric Jeep will be a superb option for anyone in the market for an eco-friendly and efficient vehicle, and it should have many other features car buyers might look for.
Below, we’ll talk about what to expect from the new electric Jeep and the platform it will ride on. We’ll also cover what we know so far about other all-electric Jeep models coming soon.
Jeep BEV: The Gist
More information will come out about the Jeep BEV set to release in 2024. As for now, we’re dealing with limited information. We do know that the BEV is a compact SUV slated under the Renegade in the Jeep lineup. We also know it will be released in foreign markets before it hits US dealerships in 2025.
Efficiency
When it comes to transportation, efficiency is key. An efficient vehicle can help you save time and money while on the road. Here are just a few of the benefits of using an efficient vehicle:
- Reduced Fuel Costs: An efficient vehicle will use less fuel than a less-efficient model, saving you a lot of money over time.
- Reduced Emissions: Efficient vehicles generate fewer emissions, which is good for the environment and your health.
- Improved Performance: An efficient vehicle will perform better, meaning you’ll be able to get where you’re going faster and more easily.
- Increased Range: An efficient vehicle will travel further on a single tank of gas, so you can go further without stopping for gas.
In other words, driving an efficient vehicle will save you money and help protect the planet. The new electric Jeep has a range of up to 250 miles on a single charge, making it an excellent choice for long-distance travel. Plus, with quick charging capabilities, you’ll be able to get back on the road in no time.
Environmental Impact
The emissions produced by inefficient vehicles can negatively impact the environment. Many believe that emissions contribute to climate change, which can cause a host of problems, including extreme weather events and sea level rise. Additionally, emissions can cause air pollution, leading to respiratory problems and other health issues.
Efficient cars produce fewer emissions and help protect the planet. The new electric Jeep will produce zero tailpipe emissions, making it ideal for those who want to reduce their carbon footprint.
Looks
The Jeep BEV is, in a word, cute. It essentially looks like a cross between the Renegade and Compass, though it certainly has unique characteristics to set it apart from its siblings and other models on the market.
Motor Authority took spy shots of the Jeep BEV prototype, revealing a few notable aesthetic qualities. The vehicle is small but has a unique stance with a broad base that tapers towards where you would step before getting into your car. Jeep’s signature seven-slot grill is present. One distinction from previous models is that the sleek headlights sit at the top edges of the grille, near the hood line. This, combined with a stylized raised bump in the center of the hood, makes the subcompact SUV look quite aggressive for its size.
Further, the vehicle’s X-shape taillights bulge out, adding more ruggedness to the overall aesthetic. And the vertical rear door handles are integrated into the rear windows. Regarding design language, the new Jeep BEV promises a mixture of ruggedness and modernity.
We can expect the Jeep BEV to offer many (if not all) of the features any modern, eco-conscious driver could want. Anticipate a top-notch infotainment system, Jeep’s trademark rugged-yet-polished cabin, and comfortable seats, among other traits.
Benefits of Investing in the Jeep BEV
Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular as consumers become more economically and environmentally conscious. Here are some of the benefits of driving the new Jeep BEV when it hits the market:
Savings on Fuel and Maintenance
One of the most appealing aspects of electric vehicles is that they are much cheaper to operate than traditional gas-powered cars. Electric vehicles require no oil changes, and their brake pads last significantly longer because regenerative braking recaptures energy that would otherwise be wasted.
In addition, electric vehicles have far fewer moving parts than internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, so there are fewer opportunities for something to break down and require repairs. The cost of charging an electric vehicle also costs less than buying gasoline. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, “the cost of fueling an EV is about 60% less than a gas vehicle” (DOE).
In other words, if you spend $100 per month on gasoline, you would only need to spend $50 per month to charge an electric car. The savings will be even greater if you have solar panels installed at your home, as you can then charge your car for free using the power of the sun.
High-Performance Models
With advances in technology, there are now more high-performing electric vehicles hitting the market that don’t compromise performance for fuel efficiency. The Tesla Model S, Audi e-tron, and Porsche Taycan are a few of the most popular ones so far. And as we know, Stellantis has announced a comprehensive electrification plan that includes four all-electric models by 2025 and many more by 2035.
Electric vehicles are becoming more powerful each year. Technological advancements allow more horsepower, torque, and towing capacity than ever before. This makes electric vehicles a more viable option for those who need a vehicle that can handle heavy loads or offers high performance. With so many options available, it’s becoming easier to find an electric vehicle that meets your needs.
We can expect the Jeep BEV to offer all the performance perks of a gas-powered compact SUV, if for no reason other than it’s a Jeep. No brand has a richer history in 4×4 leadership and pushing the boundaries of convention.
Financial Incentives
Another reason for the increased popularity of BEVs is the financial incentives available to consumers. In many cases, electric vehicle buyers can receive a tax credit from the federal government. This credit can be worth up to $7,500, which helps to offset some of the cost of purchasing an electric vehicle.
Additionally, many states offer their own financial incentives for electric vehicle buyers, such as tax credits, rebate programs, or reduced registration fees. These financial incentives make it more affordable for consumers to purchase an electric vehicle, which in turn helps to promote the growth of this technology.
Advancements in Battery Technology
We are seeing serious advancements in battery technology. In the past, electric vehicles had a limited range due to the limitations of the technology available. But batteries have come a long way in recent years and can now provide electric vehicles with a much longer range. This is especially true for newer BEVs equipped with the latest battery systems, and we can expect them to keep improving.
A few of the primary inventions driving the BEV industry forward today include:
- NanoBolt lithium tungsten batteries
- Zinc manganese oxide batteries
- Organosilicon electrolyte batteries
- Gold nanowire gel electrolyte batteries
- TankTwo string cell batteries
- Hydrogen fuel cell batteries
Saving the Planet
Electric cars offer many benefits to the environment. They produce zero emissions, which helps to reduce air pollution. They also help to conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Electric cars are powered by electricity, which comes from various sources. Some EVs are powered by renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind power. This helps to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, and it also eliminates the emissions from traditional gasoline-powered cars.
Electric cars also tend to be more efficient than gasoline-powered cars, meaning they use less energy and produce fewer emissions. In fact, electric cars are so efficient that they can help to lower your energy bills.
It’s important to note that electric cars do have some environmental impacts. Their batteries can contain harmful chemicals, and the manufacturing process for these batteries can also be harmful. But compared to the impacts of gas-powered cars, EVs are still the more environmentally friendly option.
The STLA Small Platform
Jeep’s first all-electric model is set to ride on the STLA, pronounced “Stella” by some executives, a small platform, which Stellantis claims is the most advanced and versatile electric platform in the world. The STLA Small platform is designed for vehicles up to 10,000 pounds, making it perfect for SUVs, crossovers, and pickups. It’s also scalable, meaning it’s adaptable to various vehicle types and sizes.
The STLA Small platform is built around a modular battery system that can be adapted to meet the specific needs of each vehicle. The platform also features an all-electric powertrain that delivers exceptional performance and efficiency. With its advanced technology and versatility, the STLA Small platform is slated to revolutionize the electric vehicle market.

2024 Wagoneer S
The all-new Jeep Wagoneer S will also enter the market in 2024, but as a premium full-size SUV. It’s sure to impress with its sleek design, top-tier performance, and ample interior space.
The Wagoneer S is built on a refined chassis that makes it easy to handle and drive efficiently. It also features an all-electric powertrain that delivers plenty of torque and acceleration for a thrilling driving experience. And with room for up to seven passengers, the Wagoneer S is perfect for families or groups looking for an eco-friendly alternative to traditional SUVs.
If it follows suit with the gas-powered Wagoneer models, the Wagoneer S will be among the most luxurious and impressive EVs available. And top-notch driving range will serve buyers on daily commutes and road trips alike. So if you’re looking for a stylish, comfortable, and environmentally friendly SUV, keep an eye out for the Jeep Wagoneer S in 2024.

You might think about fuel efficiency when choosing which pickup truck to buy next, but chances are your standards are pretty low. After all, mid-size and full-size pickups have been known for guzzling gas for decades.
However, times have changed. And you might be surprised by how many trucks are capable of decent fuel economy.
Between the lighter frames of modern mid-size trucks to the enhanced diesel and hybrid engines on the top full-size models, you can find a truck that eases your pain at the gas pump.
Below, Mount Airy CDJRF discusses the 11 pickup trucks with the best gas mileage and shares some tips for charging an electric vehicle!
11 Most Fuel-Efficient Trucks (2022 Model Year)
Without further ado, let’s talk about those trucks that can help you keep the fuel costs down:
1. Rivian R1T
The Rivian R1T is the first all-electric pickup truck on the market. It’s a high-tech truck that includes a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, a 16-inch touch screen, and lots of upscale materials throughout the interior. The cabin’s sleek design shines through without compromising head- and legroom.
Only the R1T with the 135-kWh battery pack has been tested by the EPA, which found that the pickup can travel 314 miles at 66 MPGe on the highway and 74 MPGe in the city. One of the most impressive aspects of the R1T is its quad-motor design placing an electric motor on each wheel. All the motors combined produce 835 horsepower, enabling the R1T to conquer off-road terrain and accelerate like a sports car.
2. Ford Maverick Hybrid
As one of the smallest trucks on the market, the all-new Ford Maverick is the only pickup equipped with a standard hybrid engine. The base Maverick matches an electric motor and 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). It yields 33 MPG highway and 42 MPG city — on par with many compact cars.
The Maverick rides on the same platform as the Bronco Sport and Escape compact SUVs. The result is reliable handling, a smooth ride, and superb gas mileage. For most drivers, these traits make up for the truck’s lackluster off-roading and towing capabilities.
3. RAM 1500 EcoDiesel
The Ram 1500 is ranked number one in full-size pickups through many outlets. It’s among the most powerful and capable trucks available and arguably the most luxurious and comfortable. The interior and technologies of the higher 1500 trims rival those of many luxury vehicles.
Opting for the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine (EcoDiesel) will give you 32 MPG on the highway and 22 MPG in the city. Ram matches the engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Connect with Mount Airy CDJRF to learn about the 1500 models on our lot!
4. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Duramax
As with its competitors, the Chevrolet Silverado comes in many different trims. To get the most from your fuel, choose the 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine (Duramax) that produces 277 hp and 460 pound-feet of torque. It also tows up to 9,500 pounds.
This engine provides 31 MPG on the highway and 23 MPG in the city when paired with rear-wheel drive. The 2022 Silverado 1500 comes with a newly designed cabin, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 13.4-inch touchscreen.
5. GMC Sierra 1500 Duramax
The GMC Sierra 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 share many of the same elements, including the Duramax engine. The Sierra yields 30 MPG on the highway and 23 MPG in the city.
GMC updated the Sierra’s exterior design for 2022 and touched up the cabin with higher-quality materials and unique styling. The truck also sees a significant tech upgrade that includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, and the GMC Super Cruise system.
6. Ford F-150 Hybrid
The Ford F-150 has a long-standing reputation for offering a well-rounded lineup of trims and engines. Drivers get 3,325 pounds of payload, 14,000 pounds of towing, intuitive technologies, and an upscale cabin that is bested only by the Ram 1500.
The F-150 also comes available with a full hybrid powertrain. The combo includes a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and an electric motor that produce 430 hp and 507 lb-ft of torque. This engine is the most powerful and fuel-efficient in the lineup, yielding 25 MPG on the highway and in the city.
7. Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel
The Jeep Gladiator is one of the premier pickup trucks for off-roading. You can opt for up to 11.6 inches of ground clearance, world-class suspension, and heavy-duty skid plates. And, of course, it comes with the trademark removable doors and roof.
You can choose between two engines on the Gladiator. The 3.6-liter V6 is a powerful engine that would serve the most avid off-road enthusiast well. But the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 adds more low-end torque for improved towing and acceleration. The diesel engine also gives you the best gas mileage at 28 MPG on the highway and 22 MPG in the city.
8. Chevrolet Colorado Duramax
The Chevrolet Colorado doesn’t offer the most impressive interior or safety features, but it leads its class in towing capacity and is undeniably capable. The seats in the Colorado are perhaps the most comfortable in the segment, and drivers enjoy a comfortable ride and stable handling.
You can choose from three engines for this pickup, but the 2.8-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder (Duramax) gives you the best gas mileage. Producing 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, the diesel engine produces 30 MPG on the highway and 20 MPG in the city; this engine is also required to achieve the maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds.
9. GMC Canyon Duramax
As with other Chevrolet and GMC models, the Colorado and Canyon share many strengths and weaknesses, including the 7,700 pound towing capacity. The Canyon is available with the same 2.8-liter Duramax and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission to produce 30 MPG on the highway and 20 MPG in the city. The Canyon is a good fit for those who like the Colorado but are looking for a slightly more upscale cabin and more intuitive tech features.
10. Hyundai Santa Cruz
Hyundai is still relatively new to manufacturing pickup trucks. The Santa Cruz belongs to a new segment of compact trucks built on unibody platforms. This truck shares a platform, powertrains, and interior features with the Tucson — its compact SUV sibling. Like the Tucson, the Santa Cruz gives drivers tons of standard features, a balanced ride, and an upscale cabin.
The entry-level Santa Cruz is the most fuel-efficient trim. It’s powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 191 horses, 27 MPG on the highway, and 21 MPG in the city.
11. Ford Ranger
Unlike its rivals, the Ford Ranger comes with only one available engine. Fortunately, it’s a great engine with plenty of punch. The 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and gives you 270 hp. You can expect 26 MPG on the highway, 21 MPG in the city, up to 7,500 pounds of towing, and a maximum payload of 1,860 pounds.
Where Do You Charge Your EV?

Charging Your EV When You Live in an Apartment
Driving an EV can be even more challenging when you live in an apartment and aren’t able to simply plug in your car in the garage. More charging stations are becoming available to apartment dwellers each year, but unless you live in a major metropolitan area, you might need to think outside the box. Here are a few tips for charging your EV:
Find an EV-Friendly Apartment
First of all, evaluate your current living situation. If you’ve been wanting to switch apartment complexes, finding one with a charging station could motivate you to take the leap. After all, driving is a crucial aspect of your daily life, so it makes sense to live in a place where you can charge your car!
Talk to Your Landlord
The EV trend isn’t going anywhere. Most landlords will eventually install charging stations on their properties, but you could potentially speed things up for your apartment complex by speaking with your landlord.
Companies like ChargePoint help property owners install on-site EV charging stations every day, and you could explain to your landlord how a port would benefit them and their tenants over the long haul. Tenants will be happier and the property will attract more renters.
Run a Drop Cord
If you run out of EV charging options at your apartment, consider running a heavy-duty extension cord from your charging port in your unit to your car. You might be surprised how easily you can snake a drop cord from your apartment to the parking lot. But keep in mind that you may not be able to achieve a full charge without enough voltage.
Use Your Office
If you commute to work, look for a charging station near your office. If your office has an EV charging port, even better. All you have to do is charge your car throughout the workday for a full charge!
Wrapping Up
Things are looking up for pickup truck enthusiasts who want more fuel efficiency. The models above will provide you with much better gas mileage than trucks used to offer, especially if you go with an electric or hybrid option.
Keep researching fuel-efficient pickups to determine which one best meets your needs and learn about the charging stations near you. And remember to connect with Mount Airy CDJRF to browse our wide selection of Rams, Jeeps, and other trucks!
