2017 Chrysler Pacifica: The Modern Minivan is Here
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is already turning heads and we can’t wait to get it on the lot at Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram! It’s a mini-van that feels like a luxury family car!
Minivan drivers, both young and old, have quite a surprise as Chrysler introduces its new Pacifica. Originally Chrysler’s midsize crossover vehicle, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will replace the company’s original minivan, the Town & Country, as a modernized version of the family-van.
It has been over thirty years since the minivan was created and the import of its presence has changed greatly over this time. Tim Kuniskis, Fiat Chrysler-North America’s head of passenger car brands, explains that the company wants to change the consumers’ view of the minivan by modernizing it into something desirable in performance and looks. This big move to re-brand the minivan is done by completely overhauling its exterior. This is something that should have happened years ago. What before came with faux wood paneling and awkward shaping, now comes as sporty, sleek, and refined. Its rather cube-like frame completely rids itself of the standard minivan shape, and it sits low to the ground, making it easily accessible.
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will include a plug-in hybrid model, as well as 37 innovations. Inside, the Chrysler Pacifica has LED lighting throughout, hands-free capabilities,such as sliding doors, and high definition touchscreens in the second row. It will also include an integrated vacuum system and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof. Under the hood, Chrysler has added some major power by using a nine-speed automatic transmission with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, ensuring a constantly smooth and quiet ride with a punch.
Officially arriving this March, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is promised to have “unsurpassed fuel economy,” and over 100 available features. One of these will be a 360-degree camera system that also conducts a bird’s-eye-view of your surroundings. Other features will include cruise control with braking capability, forward collision alert, park-assist, and an updated Uconnect Theater entertainment system.
Though SUVs and Crossover vehicles have taken more of a front seat in terms of sales, a void has remained to be filled. 2016 Ram Truck vs. the 2016 Ford F-150 vs. the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado
In Mount Airy, NC, you either need a truck or you want a truck. But which truck is best for you: 2016 RAM 1500, 2016 Ford F-150, or the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. We of course love the 2016 Ram 1500, but let’s compare all three.
When considering the new RAM 1500, Ford F-150, and Chevy Silverado, it’s notable that all three are durable machines made to handle heavy work loads and tough terrain. But when it comes down to it, you want the best for your money and time. One that fits you and your needs, and can continue to do so year after year with minimal maintenance.
Let’s start with the least impressive of the three: the 2016 Chevy Silverado. Though this truck is impressive when compared to others, it just does not stand up to the RAM 1500 or Ford F-150. The biggest problem with the Chevrolet Silverado is that it tends to feel sluggish when pulling heavy loads, even though it does have 305 ft-lbs. of torque. In fact, out of all three, the 2016 Chevy Silverado has the lowest power output, despite its 285 horsepower.
The 2016 Ford F-150 is next on the list. The new Ford F-150 comes with some fun features- mirror mounted spotlights, a trailer light check that is shown in the driver’s information cluster, and a highly effective bed step that makes loading and unloading easy. And it has a strong powertrain that pulls exceptionally well. A few problems found though include loose steering, which can cause some control issues when driving at faster speeds, especially when hauling heavy materials, a lackluster interior, and its 253 ft-lbs. of torque and 282 horsepower just don’t match up to the RAM.
Saving the best for last leaves us with the 2016 RAM 1500 as the winner. With 269 ft-lbs. of torque and 305 horsepower, the new RAM leads the pack in terms of power and performance, and is currently the only half-ton truck to offer a diesel engine. The interior is luxurious and roomy, and the frame and suspension are unbeatable. The 2016 RAM 1500’s suspension actually levels out while the truck is moving to help the truck drive flat and smooth.

2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Not Your Typical Family SUV
The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee from its first creation established itself as a durable vehicle with finesse. Year after year, with each new model, it evolved stronger and more luxurious inside. The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Freedom edition venerates our country’s armed forces by militarizing the iconic Wrangler with Oscar Mike badging and freedom star decals, as well as adding some other key features that make the Wrangler one of the most unique and well built SUVs in history.

There is really no difference in features and technology. Anything you could want on the Grand Cherokee is also available for the Cherokee. This means drivers won’t have to pick on vehicle over the other based on features alone.
